Need an iPhone repair? It’s best you get that work done at an authorised repairer like us. The alternative is to go to an unauthorised repairer, and that is not sensible in our opinion. We have said this in previous posts, but it is so important that it bears repeating:
- Unauthorised repairers do poor-quality repairs. Their expertise is negligible and their methodology can be appalling. For example, they often re-solder circuit boards that are not designed to be re-soldered.
- They use non-genuine parts – and to make matters worse, these parts are often second hand.
- When a non-authorised repair is completed on your device, the manufacturer will no longer provide any support or assistance. This means you have no recourse should future issues arise – and in the case of unauthorised repairs, they are highly likely to arise.
- Unauthorised repairers don’t have access to essential resources including up-to-date service manuals and parts catalogues.
These are just a few of the reasons why entrusting your iPhone repair to an unauthorised repairer is likely to backfire. We are sure you will agree. Yet your insurance company or third-party warranty provider might direct you to an unauthorised repairer for one simple reason; they’re cheap!
Don’t allow this to happen. If the repairer is not authorised by the manufacturer, then you lose the ongoing support you deserve. If you are advised to go to an unauthorised repairer for your iPhone, get in touch with us and we’ll help you resolve the issue. We can provide a full assessment, report and quote and present it to the insurance company. In most cases, an assessment fee will apply but this fee is usually covered by the insurer as part of your claim.
If you have any concerns at all about insurance-related issues, you can check out the FAQ page on this website. It’s a valuable resource and provides up-to-date and reliable information on a range of topics, including logging a repair, logistics, recourse and coverage, data protection and privacy and much more, including insurance and warranties.
If you don’t find what you are looking for, then please contact us and we’ll be delighted to provide the information that you need. This is a far better option than taking the misguided advice of an insurer or third-party warranty provider and sending your device to an unauthorised repairer. By contacting us in the first instance, your repair will be properly carried out, every step of the way.
